ISNetworld & COR Certified
Through our commitment to providing a safe work environment Blueweed is an ISNetworld certified service provider and we have achieved our Certificate of Recognition (COR) as a member of the Alberta Construction Safety Association. We are also active members in the Health and Safety programs with ComplyWorks and Avetta.
The Blueweed services team will work with you to choose the right control products and application methods that best suit your worksite and environmental considerations. A safe and healthy environment is regarded as of utmost importance for you, your employees, contractors, subcontractors, clients and our workforce personnel.
Hazard Identification & PPE
Through this process we train our staff to identify any on-site hazards and implement corrective action plans. The supervisors will investigate all incidents/accidents/near misses and provide required on-the-job training to new employees to ensure they are competent.
Appropriate personal protective equipment is supplied and used by employees and we ensure the equipment is maintained to meet legislated safety standards. As part of our COR and Health and Safety program, our management, supervisory and onsite staff will identify all of the safety needs for your site.
Training & Compliance.
Every field employee completes comprehensive safety orientation before their first day on site. Our training programs ensure crew members are competent and certified for industrial environments.
First Aid
All crew members hold current First Aid certification ensuring immediate response capability at any worksite.
H2S Alive
Hydrogen sulfide safety training for crew members working in oil and gas environments where H2S exposure is a risk.
Licensed Pesticide Applicators
All spray technicians hold valid Alberta pesticide applicator certifications. We maintain full compliance with provincial application regulations.
Authorized Assistant
Support staff certified under the Authorized Assistant designation for pesticide handling and application support in the field.
TDG / WHMIS / CSTS
Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, and Construction Safety Training System certifications.
Wildlife Awareness & UTV Training
Wildlife awareness certification for remote worksites and UTV operator training for off-road vegetation control operations.

Integrated Pest Management approach
Blueweed follows an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach when planning and delivering vegetation control services. IPM focuses on evaluating vegetation conditions, selecting the most appropriate control methods, and minimizing environmental impact while achieving effective long term results.
Herbicides are applied only when necessary and always in accordance with provincial pesticide regulations and label requirements. Our licensed applicators utilize calibrated equipment and precise application techniques to ensure accurate placement and minimal off target impact.
